So *v*
Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, this is sort of a gift for :iconcrazycallisto: since it's her favourite ship.
For "forcing" me to finally read a song of ice and fire. XD

Ok, since their relationship is still relatively unknown I'll go for semi-canon with her being a sort of a tomboy and him being the lunatic charming married prince who abducted her starting a war.
She's upset having him favouring her, can you tell?! XD

And on a totally different matter. Every fanart I've seen of him depicts him with looooooooong silver hair. I can understand the silver, but is there some reference in canon for the length? I really don't remember it. So I cut his hair so he still fits in the "long hair" description (just in case I missed the reference) but at least he doesn't look like inuyasha and sesshomaru's lost brother.
I've always kinda hated the sephiroth hot shounen manga look.

I love your design of the two, their faces and clothes and pose... And I totally agree with you, this long hair would be so impractical, I mean, he fights in tournaments! But still I had to laugh when you called him Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's lost brother. :D

Mettiti l'anima in pace, Robert. Lyanna e Rhaegar sono la coppia migliore (IMHO) di tutto ASOIAF...o lo sarebbero, se Martin si degnasse di darci un po' pił di informazioni. Pazienza. In ogni caso, ottimo lavoro: sebbene di loro si sappia poco, sei riuscita a rendere quel poco che sappiamo splendidamente. Applausi (e un fave) ben meritati.

This is beautiful... I love the clothing and the textures. Lyanna does not looked thrilled.... although Rhaegar doesn't seem to mind.

While I haven't finished reading ADWD, I've decided to view these two in a more sympatheic and romantic light, considering that Robert's murderous rage towards the ENTIRE Targaryen family struck me as a tad bit too dramitic... like's he's trying to convince himself that Rhaegar was a monster and Lyanna was a helpless victim. Ned and Catelyn aside, I think a ASOFAI needs a bit more romantic love.... and the idea that Lyanna would fall in love and run away with a married man and not be the typical damsel in distress seems a lot more interesting anyway.
