I wanted to make a series titled "Strong Girls of westeros" but then when I was making the list of the characters I realized that there really are no "weak" women in Asoiaf serie. They are all, every single one amazingly strong in so many different ways. Which is amazing in a world where well written female characters are so rare. So it became just "Girls of westeros". 'Cause it was redundant.
I've always seen Daenerys having an aethereal, elvish sort of sicklish beauty. Something that gives the impression that she could be knocked down by any breath of wind. In the end in the tv show they casted a girl that she's the exact opposite. Emilia is such an earthly beauty with a body SO FAR from the perfect plastic barbie bodies we're used to see in media and tv and yet really striking. Still, I'm allowed still see and draw her as I did before.
I had doubts about making her bald or not, but then I wanted to paint her hair because it's a difficult color to use and I wanted to see if I was able to and that made the decision.
Remember: NO character bashing or GTFO. And I still draw the characters the way I imagined them to be when I read the books. Keep that in mind.
Your Daenerys is really different from the one in the show. I really like how strong and great Emilia is looking and acting but your version is so interesting, too! I have no idea how she´s described in the books but it would also be very fitting if she was more elf-like like yours here.
The first actress they casted before Emilia was a lot like this (Tazmin Merchant...) but honestly I thought of her a lot like an albino girl, what with her violet eyes, fair skin and the silver hair. By the way other than that they only say she's "the most beautiful girl in the world" which fit well with both interpretations.
